Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Hanoi – Hoang Su Phi (B/L/D)

    Head out to Hoang Su Phi, in the Northwest of Ha Giang province, a forgotten paradise for its wild and mysterious beauty. Be enchanted by endless rice terraces, pristine natures and by the enthusiasm, hospitality of the indigenous people.

    Upon arrival to Hoang Su Phi, wander around to overview the valleys and capture stunning pictures of great landscape here. The rest of day is free at leisure.

  • Day 2

    Hoang Su Phi – Quan Ba (B/-/-)

    Be awaken by the sounds of nature and rural life, feel the peaceful, breathe in fresh air and breathe out the stress of city life. After breakfast, we head out to the Northeast of Ha Giang Province. After few hours driving. En-route stop at a Tay ethnic villages with traditional stilt houses made from wood, bamboo, and palm-thatched roof. Wander around the village, chat with friendly locals about their tradition, lifestyle and capture nice photos of mountain area.

    Continue your ascend drive with winding Quan Ba pass and reach Quan Ba Heaven Gate for panoramic view of the area. Arrived to Quan Ba. You’ll also have chance to observe the Maturity Ceremony, one of the oldest and most unique customs of Red Dao ethnic minority.

    Overnight in Quan Ba.

  • Day 3

    Quan Ba – Dong Van (B/-/-)

    Today, you will visit most of the highlights of Ha Giang. Enjoy amazing landscape while winding on mountain passes through beautiful lush valleys. Stop sometimes for photo hunting or short visits to local villages. Keep driving for Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a place you will definitely want to see and travel if you are in northern Vietnam. List in 2004 as Vietnam’s 1st Geopark by UNESCO, Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark contains a number of geological heritage sites of particular significance and home to 17 ethnic groups that create the unique and rich cultural heritage of this area.

    En-route stop at Sung La town, in which have a favorite place of filming crews when shooting H’mong traditional culture and lifestyle film. Keep heading to Vuong Chi Sinh's house, the former palace of H’Mong King, made of stone and timber and was built by French colonial to please the King.

    Last stop is 100-year-old Dong Van Old Quarter, the highest old quarter in Vietnam with the typical Chinese architecture on the dramatic backdrop of sheer mountains and green rice fields. Most of the houses in the Old Quarter are “trinh tuong” earthen wall houses, lived in by Hmong, Tay, Dzao, and Chinese ethnic people. Stroll around and capture nice photos.

  • Day 4

    Dong Van – Meo Vac (B/-/-)

    Head out to Lung Cu Flag Pole, known as the Northern Peak of Vietnam. Nearby is Lo Lo Chai village, a rustic and pristine scenery, still preserves all cultural features the Lo Lo ethnic group in the Dong Van UNESCO Global Geopark. Wander around the village, admire beautiful houses with earthen walls, clay title roofs and stone fences.

    Depart for Meo Vac, a beautiful valley with picturesque terraced rice fields and peaceful villages nestled at the foot of the hills. Stop at Ma Pi Leng pass, perhaps this is the most astonishing stretch of road in entire country that offers superb view over the Nho Que river valley below with hundreds of limestone mountain towering around.

    Overnight in Meo Vac.

  • Day 5

    Meo Vac – Ha Giang (B/-/-)

    In the morning stroll around the town or drop by to the local market and see the daily life of minority people here. We then head back to Ha Giang city, stop by at one village to learn about Linen Weaving of H’mong ethnic group. Find out how linen is made and nature color dyeing. Hands-on, experience how to weave and draw with beeswax under the enthusiastic instructions of local artisants. Ha Giang City arrival, free at your own leisure.

    Overnight in Ha Giang City.

  • Day 6

    Ha Giang – Hanoi (B/-/-)

     Say goodbye to the charming and peaceful Ha Giang, we follow the drive to back to Hanoi. The rest of day is free at leisure.

 A. CANCELLATION POLICY:

The cancellation charges below refer to the non-transferable fee that is charged to the group member who has cancelled their tour:
  • More than 45 days before departure: No cancellation charge
  • Between 45 and 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost 
  • Between 30 days and 15 days before departure: 25% of total tour cost
  • Between 15 days and 7 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
  • Less than 7 days before departure: 90% of total tour cost
  • No-show at the airport on the day of arrival/departure: 100% of total tour cost

B. CHILDREN POLICY (land service only)
  • Child from 1- 4 yrs:  Free of charge if sharing bed with parents 
  • Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 30% of adult price if sharing existing bed(s) with parents
  • Child from 5 – 6 yrs: charge 50% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
  • Child from 7 – 11 yrs: charge 75% of adult price if using extra bed/mattress in parents’ room
  • Child from 12 yrs up: pay as adult rate
