    The Magnificent Natural Caves in Indochina

    Vietnam

    Son Doong is the largest cave on the planet and also the most majestic natural cave in Indochina. Son Doong Cave is located in the core zone of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh province. Son Doong Cave has a length of up to 5km, the largest chambers of the cave are up to 200m high and 150m wide, Son Doong cave is so large that it can accommodate a 40-story skyscraper in New York City.the stalactites in Son Doong cave are the highest in the world with a height of up to 80m. So this is always on the list of must-visit adventure destinations for adventure enthusiasts around the world.

     

    Laos

    Khong Lor Cave is a natural cave in Indochina about 8 km long famous for its underground river up to 20m wide. Kong Lo is a karst limestone cave in Phu Hin Bun National Park in Khammouane province in Laos. The height of the cave is more than 50 m from the river surface. Visiting the cave, you can comfortably row a boat to visit the beautiful scenery inside the cave. In addition, you will not be overwhelmed by the massive and beautiful stalactites, stone bells, and stalagmites inside the cave.

     

    Cambodia

    Set among the verdant fields of rice paddies in Kampot district - Cambodia, Phnom Chhnork Cave is one of the many natural caves in Indochina that you cannot miss. After passing the 203-step staircase leading to the main cave, you'll be greeted by an incredible stalactite-like structure, two natural chimneys, and the interesting remnants of a brick temple believed to have been built. It was built during the 7th century Funan Kingdom. And when you are at the top of the rock, you can enjoy the picturesque view of the beautiful rice fields surrounding the mountain.

     

    Myanmar

    Kyaut Sae Cave is a natural cave in Indochina, famous for its quiet and mysterious, located in Za Yat Gyi, Myanmar. In particular, Kyaut Sae cave has a Buddhist temple built in ancient times, making this cave more beautiful and mysterious.

     

    Thailand

    Tham Lod is the most famous ancient cave in Thailand and one of the longest famous underground natural caves in Indochina. The place is very large and decorated with colorful stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is 50m high and 400m long, and crosses the river, creating the need for sightseeing rafts.The clear water reflects sunlight into the cave, making the space extremely magical and fanciful, giving the viewer a feeling of not being real, hard to describe in words. This place will surely bring visitors the most enjoyable experience.

     

    Peninsular Malaysia 

    The Batu Caves are located in the Gombak district, a northern suburb of Kuala Lumpur just 14km from the city center. The complex consists of different large and small caves, including 3 large caves: Tho Cave (Cathedral Cave), Art Gallery Cave and Dark Cave (Dark Cave). In some caves there are temples, while others have statues and drawings. Compared to many other natural caves in Indochina, the natural landscape and scale of Batu cave may not be comparable. However, the unique feature of Batu cave lies in the massive but equally sophisticated sculptures, from the stairs, the gate to the temple or the handmade decorations.
