Family value is what we all want to treasure and enrich. To be with VietnamStay for a week in the “Active Family Vietnam ” trip would be on the top of your travel list. You will all bike, hike, dine, and smile together. While the west lake and a water puppet show in Ha Noi can take your breath away, the ancient village of Ky Son and the old quarter in Ha Noi can bring you back to the Vietnamese’s life a thousand years ago. A family trip will not be complete without Ha Long Bay - this World Wonder of nature will surprise you even more when you witness it with your own eyes.
Upon arrival in Ha Noi, you are picked up and transferred to your hotel. Vietnam’s quaint capital is a city of wide tree-lined boulevards, beautiful lakes, colonial buildings, wonderful museums, and rich culture. Hanoi has much to offer, and you can’t leave it without wishing to have some more days (if not more) to explore this city of a thousand years old. Free to refresh from jet lag.
Overnight in Hanoi.
You will have the whole day to explore Vietnam’s capital city. Firstly, visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his modest stilt house where he chose to live and work and also the museum dedicated to his memory. Then continue visiting the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11th century. Nowadays, students come and pray for a good luck in their exam.
Afternoon, visit to renowned Museum of Ethnography (closed Mondays), which houses an interesting collection of artifacts relating to the mosaic of ethnic groups that inhabit Vietnam. Continue to discover the famed Old Quarter on foot. We walk through the hidden alleys, amaze at the old style tube houses, and visit the lively local market. Next, we hop on a traditional bicycle rickshaws move at leisure pace that’s perfect for photos and slow-moving sightseeing. Seat back and relax while your driver weaves through the busy streets, dodging speeding motorbikes and rolling past French colonial houses.
Late afternoon, attend a water-puppet theatre performance. The art of water puppetry began a thousand years ago, possibly in the flooded rice fields of Vietnam. Puppeteers today stand in waist-high water and manipulate their puppets in such a skilled way that you can’t help but be captivated by the performance. Overnight in Hanoi
Note: Shorts and tank tops are not allowed in Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum & pagodas.
A perfect way to see Ha Long Bay, the World Wonder of Nature (also a UNESCO site), is to spend a night on a charming boat. The mystical scenery of Ha Long Bay where thousands of limestone islands jutting out of the emerald sea, sculpted into fascinating shapes, and surrounded by colorful floating villages is truly a breathtaking destination.
3 days 2 nights discover the hidden jewels – glittering and untouched – that lies deep in the Ha Long bay. Ha Long Bay, designated a UNESCO world heritage site for its limestone rock formations, is home to about 2,000 isles and islets of different shapes and sizes, creating a truly breathtaking seascape.
Depending on the budget we suggest some of the best boats at their standard in Ha Long bay.
Overnight on boat in Halong Bay.
Note: Cruise itinerary is subject to change according to weather condition
Follow the cruise itinerary and enjoy relaxing time on board
In the morning, your breakfast or brunch will be served while doing further cruise to explore the beauty of the bay before returning to the wharf. After brunch, disembark the boat and return to Ha Noi.
After breakfast, depart to Ky Son Moon Garden village via Hanoi.
Moon Garden House in Ky Son offers a unique opportunity to experience rural life in Vietnam that has changed little over the last century. The architect specializes in the restoration of old buildings and this is reflected in the design, furniture and antiques that adorn the rooms. Local experiences are included in the stay.
Arrive in the village around 10:00AM. After check in a private house for your family or a comfortable dormitory stilt house, we merge in many local activities that educate children to help with plowing, making rice beds, transplanting seeds, harvesting rice depending on the harvest season. The experience also includes 5km riding to Duong Lam Ancient village nearby. Enjoy a local organic meal for dinner that followed by special footbath depth in ginger, salt and mugwort medicinal herbs before bedtime.
