Prior to the flight to Thailand, the fully vaccinated visitors must have stayed in one of those countries for at least 21 days and got their second Covid-19 vaccine dose at least 14 days. They also must have an RT-PCR test that returns negative for Covid-19 no more than 72 hours before their flight and a general health insurance cover of at least US$50,000.

Upon arrival, visitors will be tested RT-PCR and if the test returns negative, they can travel on without quarantine to all 77 provinces. Pending the result, they must stay one night at one of specified hotels.

Other visitors from other countries that are not included in the approved list will be limited to entering "SANDBOX" programs in 17 provinces, among them Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangnga and Krabi. They must be fully vaccinated, have health insurance of at least US$50,000, and reserve accommodation for seven days at standard hotels in sandbox areas, and their RT-PCR tests must also have returned negative no more than 72 hours before their flight.

These arrivals will be retested for Covid-19 upon arrival and on day 6 or 7 afterwards, before leaving their sandbox zones. If the first test returns negative upon arrival, visitors can tour sandbox areas.

Visitors who have not been fully vaccinated, received only one dose or had the second injection less than 14 days before their flight, or arrived from countries other than the 46 designated ones will be quarantined at specified places, including hospitals for foreign patients seeking medical treatment in Thailand, for 10 days. They will be tested on arrival and again before the end of their quarantine.

Besides the visa (visitors must apply for visa with Thai Embassy in their home country if the country is not visa exempt), all visitors must apply online for a Thailand Pass which may take 3-5 working days. They can follow this link to apply https://tp.consular.go.th

This below table will sum up the major details of the schemes for entering in Thailand by air on 1 November:

As of 25 October, Thailand vaccination rate reached 58% of its population (if it is not counted the children under 12 years old, the rate would be surely higher). The Government is also accelerating the jabs national wide for the reopening on 1 November.
