Da Nang Won The World Tourism Awards As "Asia's Leading Festival And Event Destination 2022"

 

According to Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Danang Department of Tourism, immediately following the policy of reopening in mid-March 2022, tourism activities in the city have thrived enormously, with many positive signals such as the series of international activities and events in 2022, including the hot air balloon festival in Da Nang, Ironman 70.3 Vietnam, the Asia route development forum Routes Asia 2022, the Enjoy Danang Summer Festival, and the Danang Golf Tourism Festival clearly demonstrates the growth of the tourism goals. Thus, winning the World Tourism Awards as "Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination 2022" not only confirms the city's prestige but also places Da Nang, Vietnam on the global tourism map as a modern and safe destination with many international events.

 

 

Furthermore, Ms. Hanh also added, “With the experience of organizing many international events, we also expect that after this award, Da Nang will continue to organize large-scale international events in the near future”

 

Last but not least, she continued, Da Nang specializes in creating its MICE policy, a subset of tourism that mixes conferences, seminars, and events. This program has received excellent feedback from domestic and international organizations as well as the business community after more than a year of experimental deployment. The tourism industry will keep implementing the MICE tourism policy in the future to draw numerous regional and international conferences and events.
